Kalyani joined the Business Development and Advisory team at IIX in September 2014.

At IIX, Kalyani’s responsibilities include advisory projects for a diverse spectrum of stakeholders including INGOs, corporates, donor agencies and foundations. This has ranged from conducting a diagnostic study of the Indonesian Agriculture SME landscape, advisory work for a European telecommunications organization to invest in high-impact funds in Asia and executing the IIX-N-PEACE Innovation Challenge in partnership with the UNDP. Kalyani has also been a part of the innovative finance team, developing a guarantee facility designed to unlock private capital for women-focused, agriculture SMEs in Southeast Asia.

Prior to joining IIX, Kalyani has been involved in various volunteering initiatives in Singapore and abroad. Most recently, she spent 7 weeks working in orphanages across Gabon where she taught English, IT and raised awareness on issues such as Malaria, HIV and AIDS. Her work experience also includes a consulting project where she worked with a hospice in the UK to improve their marketing strategy. She has also completed an internship with O’Joy Care Services, a Singapore NGO, where she worked on developing Management Information Systems for the organisation.

Kalyani graduated with a BSc in Management from the University of Warwick, UK.
